Pig farming using cages offers several benefits. First, it allows for better control of temperature and humidity through heating and ventilation systems, ensuring a comfortable environment that is cool in summer and warm in winter, which supports optimal pig growth. Second, waste from the pigs falls through the cage floor, reducing contamination of feed and keeping both the feed and the cage clean and hygienic. Third, cage-raising makes it easier to monitor and manage the pigs, allowing farmers to quickly spot any health issues. Fourth, this system helps in disease prevention and treatment by maintaining cleanliness and improving overall hygiene. Lastly, it enhances the efficiency of barn space and reduces labor requirements. The design of the pig cages is carefully planned. Each pig house has an effective area of 60 square meters, with two rows of cages, each containing three levels. Each individual pig pen measures 5.2 square meters and is equipped with a 250-watt infrared heat-insulating bulb, a duck-billed waterer, and has a height of 20 cm and 30 cm from the bottom of the cage. The automatic feeding trough is made from 23-angle steel and galvanized iron sheet. It features a wide inlet and a high-low front design, along with an activity pendulum. When the piglet eats, it hits the pendulum, which triggers the release of feed, ensuring proper feeding without overfeeding. It's important to note that pigs should not be kept in cages for too long. Typically, they should be moved to the floor at around 80-90 days old or when their weight exceeds 50 kg. Keeping them in cages beyond this stage can lead to limb deformities and affect their overall development.
