1. The feed should meet the nutritional needs of the sheep. As the saying goes: “No grass can't support the rest of the time, and there is no time to raise the sheep.†For pregnant ewes, especially immature and pregnant ewes, they need partial feeding and careful feeding. High-quality hay is mainly used to add a small amount of green grass such as grass leaves and radish. Daily feeding of hay is based on 3% to 4% of the body weight of dairy goats. Each sheep is fed about 0.25 kg of concentrate daily. For pre-pregnancy ewes, feed 0.25 to 0.5 kilograms of corn, bran and pancake mixes each day, and increase the amount of 0.25 kilograms of concentrate feed appropriately to 20 days before delivery to promote udder breast expansion. . At the same time, the old and weak sheep should also be given more nutrient-rich hay, supplemented with more concentrated feed to ensure their preservation, and the number of feedings can be increased to 4 to 5 times a day. To allow sheep to drink warm water, especially pregnant ewes, must not allow them to drink ice water, so as not to cause miscarriage.
2. Management must be meticulous. Farmers still have to pay attention to hurdles in the early spring to prevent cold and moisture and keep the bar warm and sanitary. The pregnant ewes must not be kicked or frightened, and the pregnant ewes should be prevented from competing or squeezing against other sheep or other animals. When the weather is good, the sheep should be properly exercised to increase light. When you exercise, be careful not to let the sheep go too fast and you can't fight the cold whip. The sheep that are fed by the sheep-raising households are also pulled out every day. In the second month of pregnancy, the ewes should stop milking to ensure that the ewes are healthy and have good fetal development.
3. Prevent diseases and abortions. The ground in the column should be cleaned frequently and the column should be kept clean and dry. In the conditional column, we must pave the grass, and the cement floor must be covered with grass or dry soil in the winter so that the ewe is lying on the ground and it is not easy to freeze the breasts. Do not feed mildew, frozen and toxic feed, and let the sheep drink cold water, but do not allow the sheep to drink water on an empty stomach. Pay attention to weather changes and take anti-freezing measures as soon as possible to prevent sudden winds and colds from causing pregnant ewes to become ill. Observe the spirit, diet, and defecation of the pregnant ewes at ordinary times, and treat the abnormalities immediately. For pregnant ewes with signs of preterm birth, 10-30 mg of progesterone should be injected once a day.
