Feed mash should not be too fine

Many people think that the finer the feed is and the higher the digestibility, it is not. Fine feed has poor taste and feed intake for livestock and poultry is reduced. The corn-based feed was finely crushed, and the livestock had poor chewing and even swallowed without chewing, resulting in poor mixing with saliva and impeding digestion. Feed through the gastrointestinal tract speed, short residence time, inadequate digestion, low digestibility, straw mash will reduce the digestibility, but also easily lead to ruminal stagnation. In general, pigs require a slightly finer seed feed, preferably about 1 mm; cows require a slightly thicker, 2 mm; chickens require the thickest, about 3 mm. Straw feed works best with a fineness of 7 mm.
