Drinking water
After the young turkeys are transported to the brooding house, they are placed in a heat preservation room. After a short break, they are given water for drinking. The drinking water for the chicks must be clean. The water temperature is the same as the room temperature, about 25°C~30°C, and 1 day old. ~3 day old turkeys can be fed with potassium permanganate to remove gastrointestinal tracts.
Feeding
The young turkeys start their food 24 hours after hatching. They usually feed 1 hour after drinking the water for the first time and start feeding. After 3 days, they should feed the powdery material with warm water and feed them. A new material was added in two hours, and no feeding was done. We need to feed it now, feed 5 times during the day, feed it once a night, and remove the remaining feed in the tank at night. If the feed is fed within 3 days, the nutrient concentration in the feed is required to be lower, otherwise it will be easily diaphanized. In the fourth day, it will be replaced with a dry powdered full feed. Care must be taken to ensure the feed quality of the young turkey and the feed nutrition must be comprehensive. 4 weeks Add some green garlic, shallot, or other green material to the feed.
Insulation
Newly hatched hatchlings are small and delicate, have a low body temperature, have poor insulation, poor body temperature regulation, and are resistant to cold. They are most vulnerable to cold, so they must provide proper brooding temperatures during brooding. The first two days of the chicks should be maintained at 38°C, and then decreased by 2°C~3°C every week until the same temperature as the room temperature.
humidity
The relative humidity in the brooding house should be maintained at 55%~65%, the humidity is too high, the bacteria and parasites are easy to grow and multiply, especially coccidiosis, aspergillosis is easy to occur, endanger the health of young turkeys; the house is too dry , dust will appear, causing respiratory diseases, unfavorable to the growth of young turkeys.
