1. High-producing ducks have large, prominent eyes, small heads, slender necks, long body lengths, wide backs, deep chests, and a well-balanced, agile movement. When using a duck neck, both feet stretch straight down and do not move. The low-yielding ducks have small, non-protruding eyes and a large head, large neck, short body, narrow back and chest, and slow motion. When using a duck neck, both feet are bent.
Second, high-yield ducks are full, and the cervical esophageal dilates. This means that there is more food, adequate nutrients, and high yields. On the contrary, it is a low-yield performance.
Third, whether it is a new duck or a duck that is more than two years old, the feathers are rich and close before the start of production. Most of the high-yielding ducks in the post-harvest season absorb most of their nutrients for egg production. They are rarely used for long bodies, and their feather luster gradually diminishes and becomes disorganized. Fourth, the high-yielding ducks are large and soft in the laying period, and have plump hips that are drooping but not mopping. The cloacal cavity is large, moist and soft, and is semi-open. Low-yield ducks are small and hard, cloacal glands are tight and shrink, and wrinkles are dry.
Fifth, the high-yield duck has a wide pubic distance during the laying period. It is soft and flexible and can accommodate 3 to 4 fingers. The end of the pubis and sternum is as wide as 12-13 cm, while the less productive duck is less than 10 cm.
