Why is it so hard to get moving? It’s like something has me in its grip, and I just can’t shake it off. Instead, I find myself loving this enforced stillness. I don’t want to leave, hoping it’ll still be here when I come back.
Rest. And a whole lot of it.
There’s so much to explore in this amazing city. So many places I should be visiting right now—tours, landmarks I’ve only read about, shopping streets filled with luxury stores, breathtaking views that could rival the best postcards, and even a spa downstairs where they’d pamper me like royalty. But here I am, stuck in one spot, unable to budge.
I know once my Christopher gets here, he’ll pull me away from this inertia. I’m counting down the minutes until we can experience everything together. His energy always inspires me to step out of my comfort zone.
For now, though, during the hours I’m not at work, I’m perfectly content lounging around in these soft, luxurious sheets that someone else cleans. A bed that never needs making. No toys scattered across the floor or dishes piling up in the sink. Just peace, quiet, and the freedom to dive into books or… other enjoyable activities.
It almost feels like paradise, doesn’t it?
The little joys of being a traveling mom.
Don’t worry—I’ll snap out of it soon enough. In fact, I’ll be back on the go in less than a day. And yes, you’ll definitely see plenty of photos. Maybe even too many.
It’s funny how life works sometimes. One moment you’re rushing around trying to fit everything in, and the next, you’re happily chilling, soaking it all in. Traveling with kids can feel like juggling fireballs most days, but every once in a while, you get these rare moments of calm—a breather before the chaos returns.
Of course, part of me wonders if I’m missing out on something magical happening outside these walls. The street performers, hidden cafes, and secret alleys waiting to be discovered. But then again, who knows? Maybe this temporary cocoon is exactly what I need before diving headfirst into the whirlwind ahead.
Either way, whether I’m exploring or relaxing, it’s all part of the journey. And isn’t that what traveling is really about?
Stay tuned for updates—and probably more pictures than necessary. Until then, cheers to finding balance between adventure and downtime!
