Five foods rejected by milk

Drinking milk is good for health, but we also need to keep some of our daily life. Some foods cannot be taken with milk.

Oranges and milk

About 1 hour before and after drinking milk, you should not eat oranges. Because the protein in the milk once it meets with the acid in the orange, it will coagulate, thus affecting the digestion and absorption of milk, and it is not appropriate to eat other acidic fruits during this period of time.

Juice and milk

80% of protein in milk is casein. When the pH of milk is less than 4.6, a large amount of casein will agglutinate and precipitate, and it will be difficult to digest and absorb. In severe cases, it may also cause indigestion or diarrhea. Therefore, it is not advisable to add fruit juices and other acidic beverages in milk.

Milk and sugar

The lysine contained in milk reacts with fructose under heating conditions to produce toxic fructosyl lysine, which is harmful to the human body. Don't add sugar to fresh milk when you boil it, make it cold, and add sugar later.

Milk and chocolate

Milk is rich in protein and calcium, and chocolate contains oxalic acid. The combination of the two will form insoluble calcium oxalate, greatly affecting the absorption of calcium. Even dry hair, diarrhea, slow growth and other phenomena.

Milk and medicine

Some people like to use milk instead of boiled water to take medicine. In fact, milk can significantly affect the body's absorption of drugs.

As milk easily forms a cover film on the surface of the drug, calcium, magnesium and other minerals in the milk chemically react with the drug to form water-insoluble substances, thereby affecting the release and absorption of drug efficacy. Therefore, do not drink milk for 1 hour before and after taking the medicine.
