Troubleshooting the start of a small tractor engine

The starter function is normal, and the start operation is performed several times according to the correct procedure and method, and the engine start is difficult or unable to start. The exhaust pipe does not emit smoke at all, or smoke from small stocks; sometimes the exhaust pipe emits white smoke, or smokes only at the beginning and then does not smoke.

(I) Oil Supply System Failure

1, the diesel tank switch is not open, the diesel tank is not oil or too little oil.

Remedy: Open the diesel tank switch, add enough diesel, and remove the air in the fuel line.

2. The vent hole of the fuel tank cover of the diesel tank is clogged and it is difficult to supply oil.

Remedy: Clean the fuel cap and blow through the vents.

3, low temperature, diesel viscosity, flow difficulties.

Remedy: Use diesel fuel that meets the work requirements.

4. Impurities or water freezes in the diesel fuel, causing the switch, tubing, and filter to not be supplied with oil.

Remedy: Loosen the bleed screw on the filter, no oil spills, indicating that the oil circuit is blocked. Diesel tanks and filters should be cleaned. Blow through switches, tubing, and replace diesel.

5, low-pressure oil is not tight, and inhaled air.

Remedy: Identify the area and then drain the air in the oil circuit.

6. The joints of the high-pressure tubing are not strict, the nuts are loose, the contact surface between the oil valve seat and the plunger sleeve is not strict, or the tight seat of the oil valve is not tightened, and it may be that the washer is used for a long time.

Remedy: Tighten loose parts or replace gaskets.

7. There is water in the diesel fuel, which causes the plunger parts to die. The plunger spring breaks and the plunger wears badly.

Remedy Plunger parts should be repaired or replaced and diesel oil replaced. If the fuel pump does not pump oil, it means the plunger is dead or the spring is broken or the oil valve should be cleaned or replaced.

8, the oil valve has impurities plugged, the oil valve spring breaks, even out of the oil valve wear.

Remedy: Check the operation of the fuel injection pump. If the start and end times of the pump oil are not stable, the oil valve may be faulty and should be cleaned or replaced.

9. The fuel injectors are worn out or severed, and the injector pressure regulating spring is broken.

Remedy: Should be cleaned or replaced.

10, injection pressure is too high.

Remedy: Re-adjust to the specified pressure.

11. The fuel supply time is wrong.

Remedy: Check to adjust the fuel advance angle.

12. The timing gear is not installed correctly.

Remedy: Re-adjust.

(b) Compression system failure

1, valve clearance is wrong.

Remedy: Re-adjust

2, poor compression cylinder

Remedy: Grind the valve, check and adjust the valve clearance, and check the spring force of the valve spring. When pistons, piston rings, cylinders are worn out, a small amount of oil can be added to start the piston ring to stick, match or break, clean or correct installation or replacement of new parts.

(c) Intake system failure

Air filter or intake tube is clogged.

Remedy: Clean the air filter, replace or clean the filter element, and clean the blockage of the intake pipe.
