Preparation work before the boiler is ignited

The following preparatory work should be done before the boiler is ignited:

(1) Inspection preparation. For newly installed, relocated and inspected boilers, a thorough inspection must be carried out before ignition. In order not to miss the inspection items, inspections can be carried out item by item according to the boiler operating regulations. The next step can be carried out after each item being inspected meets the ignition requirements.

(2) Sheung Shui. After the inspection work before the boiler is ignited, the boiler can be used for water supply. When it is in the water, it should be slow. When the safety level is low, stop the water supply to prevent the water level from being too high after being heated. The water temperature should not be too high, and the difference between the water temperature and the wall temperature should not exceed 50 °C.

(3) Oven. Newly installed or long-term deactivated boilers, the furnace wall is relatively humid. In order to avoid the boiler from being put into operation, the high temperature flame causes the water in the furnace wall to evaporate rapidly, causing cracks in the furnace wall. Therefore, the furnace should be ovenized after the water is applied. The oven is to slowly heat the boiler in the furnace with a simmer and gradually evaporate the water in the furnace wall. The time of the oven should be different depending on the type of boiler, the structure of the furnace wall and the construction season. In the later stage of the oven, it is possible to determine whether the oven is qualified by checking the moisture content or temperature of the material inside the furnace wall.

(4) Cooking stove. The cooking furnace uses chemical agents to remove rust, dirt and grease inside the heating surface and its circulation system to ensure the internal cleaning of the boiler, ensure safe operation of the boiler and obtain high quality steam. The cooking furnace can be carried out separately or in combination with the furnace at the end of the oven. When cooking the furnace, alkaline agents such as NaOH, Na3PO4, etc. are generally added to the pot water. After the cooking, if there is no grease on the inner wall of the drum and the collecting box, and there is no rust on the metal surface after rubbing the attached material, it is qualified.

(5) Steam test. After the cooking furnace is completed, it can be raised to the working pressure for steam test. Since the steam test is carried out in the hot state, the effect is more practical than the hydrostatic test. In the steam test, the main inspections are: whether the manhole, the hand hole, the flange, etc. leak; the tightness of all the valves; whether the expansion of the drum, the box, etc. is normal.
