Jujube seedlings breeding method

Jujube tree is an important fruit tree in China. Its roots are well developed. Some roots that are close to the ground can grow strong rooted seedlings. It is simple and labor-saving to use the root seedlings to grow branches. It is an important method for developing jujube trees. The ramets breeding of jujube root seedlings are divided into the following two steps.
First, cut roots and promote seedlings Although the jujube can grow root seedlings, but the number is small, in order to stimulate the formation of root seedlings can be used to cut off the root method. The specific approach is: in the spring when the ground temperature rises and the roots begin to move, dig a ditch on the side of the projection area of the jujube tree, with a ditch depth of 50 cm and a width of 30 cm. The ditch is parallel to the date of the jujube tree and the cut diameter is less than 1.5 cm. Jujube roots (large roots do not move, so as not to affect the tree tree potential).
After the jujube was cut off, the buds germinate quickly on small roots and extend upwards to the ground to develop seedlings. When the seedling height is about 30 centimeters, the seedlings will be planted and weakened. Then soil, the depth of up to 1/4 of the seedlings is appropriate, in order to promote new shoots at the base of new shoots, combined with soil, can be fertilized and water, in order to speed up the growth of seedlings, generally the seedlings grow to 60-100 cm in height. The size of root seedlings is related to the thickness of roots.
Second, the return of nursery seedlings root seedlings generally do not order the size of the seedlings, and sometimes less root, the direct survival rate is lower colonization, growth is not neat, difficult to manage. Returning nursery seedlings is a method of concentrating root seedlings into nurseries, separating them by size, and then recultivating nursery stocks. The jujube seedlings grow for another year in the nursery. The seedlings grow robustly, the roots are good, the quality is high, the seedlings are of uniform size, and the survival rate of the plants is high.
1. Nursery selection and site preparation. The nursery should choose lands with flat terrain, convenient drainage and irrigation, fertile sandy soil, and nursery land. After the application of base fertilizer, deep turning is performed, and the irrigation and drainage channels will be repaired according to the water source. Dry areas are suitable for low bed cultivation, and high rainfall areas are suitable for high bed cultivation.
2, choose seedlings. Root seedlings should be strictly selected nursery stocks that are free from madness, scale insects and other pests. The best rooted seedlings with a diameter of 0.4-0.6 cm were the best (low or excessive seedlings had low seedling emergence and poor growth). After rigorous selection, the root seedlings are pruned, cut off and shoots, branches, or roots that are too long. Each shoot retains a new shoot about 35 cm in length, and the rest are cut off. Then according to the size of the seedlings, the first planting was performed.
3, planting seedlings. After the site is well-grounded, dig longitudinal long trenches. The length of the trenches can be determined according to the nursery. The trench width is 30 cm, the trench depth is 20 cm, and the trench-to-ditch spacing is 60-70 cm. The rooted seedlings of the plant were removed and planted in a ditch with a plant spacing of about 30 cm and planting 3000-4000 plants per acre. Because the jujube tree has two branches, the branching angle is large, and the root seedlings grow rapidly, so the density should not be too large, more than 4000 strains, then poor growth, branches and leaves closed, susceptible to date rust and other diseases. After planting seedlings, seal soil, practise, and water.

4, seedling management. When the seedlings are planted, they shall be flattened, and the ground part shall be cut off 2-3 centimeters from the ground. After the germination of the base shoots, one strong bud will be selected and the other buds will be wiped off, and then the conventional method of raising seedlings will be adopted to carry out the cultivating and weeding. , top dressing, pest control, etc. Generally, one year after returning to the nursery, when the seedlings are about 1 meter high and many new roots grow, they can be planted out of the garden.

A vortex mixer, or vortexer, is a simple device used commonly in laboratories to mix small vials of liquid. It consists of an electric motor with the drive shaft oriented vertically and attached to a cupped rubber piece mounted slightly off-center. As the motor runs the rubber piece oscillates rapidly in a circular motion. When a test tube or other appropriate container is pressed into the rubber cup (or touched to its edge) the motion is transmitted to the liquid inside and a vortex is created. Most vortex mixers are designed with 2 or 4-plate formats, have variable speed settings ranging from 100 to 3,200 rpm, and can be set to run continuously, or to run only when downward pressure is applied to the rubber piece.

Vortex mixers are quite commonplace in bioscience laboratories. In cell culture and microbiology laboratories they may be used to suspend cells. In a biochemical or analytical laboratory they may be used to mix the reagents of an assay or to mix an experimental sample and a dilutant.
