Fault phenomenon of VE type distribution fuel injection pump stuck in oil ring and its treatment method

Our country has done a lot of effective work on the use and maintenance of the DPA type distribution pump produced in the UK, but there is no systematic summary of the use and maintenance of the German VE type distribution pump. This article briefly describes some of the conditions that have occurred in practice for the reference of fuel pump maintenance personnel. The drain ring is a key part of the VE pump. It controls how much oil is injected into the cylinder. It functions similarly to the DPE type dispensing pump's oil control valve (meter), but the meter controls the oil into the plunger chamber. How much is the amount of oil metering, VE pump happens to be the opposite, it is return oil metering, also known as fuel metering. The driver manipulates the governor spring through a series of mechanisms and pulls the governor lever assembly. A ball at the lower end of the assembly is slidingly connected with the drain globe hole to control the position of the oil return ring at the end of the slug, thereby controlling the oil amount. The amount of oil spilled is large, the amount of fuel injected is small, and the speed is low; otherwise, the speed is high. The drain ring is precisely matched with the plunger at the end of the plunger, and only slides back and forth on the surface of the plunger during operation. In addition, the plunger rotates and reciprocates at high speed in the drain ring. Therefore, their sliding flexibility is very important. . Due to fuel pollution, long-term maintenance of the pump, or cracking of carbon dust at high temperatures, the impurities enter the gap between the plunger and the drain ring at the moment of fuel injection, causing the oil drain ring to become stuck. (1) Slightly stuck. The drain ring slides back and forth on the surface of the plunger and is not flexible. The driver feels that the acceleration performance deteriorates. The throttle oil supply delays or the drain ring blocks in the open position of the plunger hole. When the driver starts, the throttle position is in the end, due to the drain ring. In place, the amount of oil drained increases, and the amount of oil entering the cylinder decreases, making it difficult to start. At this time, the full-time personnel can disassemble the oil pump to clean the mutual research in the diesel oil. If necessary, some fine chromium oxide pastes can be coated for mutual research. (2) Serious jamming. Usually at the end of the injection, the plunger drain hole is open. Severe stagnation of the drain ring will cause the plunger to leak and the surface of the drain ring to be severely scratched and seized, forcing the ring to rotate synchronously with the plunger, while the ball head will not allow it to rotate, causing the ball to be slumped, resulting in a total speed lever. Become severely distorted, the engine stalls and can no longer start. When the disassembly of the oil pump is detected, the pump drive end can still be rotated by hand, and it is often necessary to adjust the pump to detect the failure of the rechecker on the test stand. Since the dropped ball head is shaken, it may enter between other pairs of movements. Therefore, it should not be retested at high speed. The speed control cover should be dismantled, and the pump head should be carefully checked if necessary. For severely stuck, surface-pulled plungers, the pump head and speed lever assembly must be updated and reassembled and adjusted as required.
