Third, disinfection and sterilization. When the disease has already occurred in this field, emergency epidemic measures are taken for affected areas and threatened rabbit populations, where rabbit cages, feed, food bowls, drinking fountains and utensils, clothing, excrement, environment and all rabbit houses are contaminated. Use 1-3% caustic soda solution, 3-5% Suer and 10-20% lime milk, and peracetic acid, 100 toxin and other disinfection.
Fourth, emergency vaccination. Isolation of diseased rabbits should be followed by emergency immunization for healthy rabbits. Some infectious diseases can be treated with drugs for prevention and treatment. For example, rabbit pasterellosis can be treated with penicillin, streptomycin, and sulfa drugs. At the same time, feeding and management must be strengthened to increase the resistance of the rabbit population.
Fifth, treat sick rabbits. Treatment of sick rabbits, purification of rabbit farms and protection of healthy rabbits should be carried out at the same time. The timely treatment of sick rabbits can eliminate the source of infection and purify the environment, which can reduce rabbit farm losses.
Six, safe handling of rabbits and dead rabbits. All kinds of valuable rabbits should be carefully treated. Other rabbits should be eliminated as appropriate, properly handled, buried deep or burned, inedible and sold as commercial rabbits.
